“I was particularly struck by the discussion of nationalism…So often we fail to distinguish between different forms of nationalism. At a basic level, love of one’s own community, love of one’s own country, is legitimate. But, that has to be an open-handed love, a love of the universal that is grounded in a love of the particular, not an exclusive domineering form of nationalism. It’s so important that we distinguish.”
